Animal Assisted Therapy

Where appropriate, I can offer Animal Assisted Therapy

My minature poodle, Dylan, is a temperament approved therapy dog and works alongside me, supporting clients struggling with anxiety, depression and dog phobia ( cynophobia)

With his calm acceptance of and attunement to people, Dylan has sucessfully helped children on the autistic spectrum, and children with ADHD, specifically helping to improve communication skills and emotional regulation

For adults and children that struggle with fear of dogs, I use Dylan as part of an overall desensitising programme, introducing him gradually over a period of time in conditions that are controlled and at pace that the client is comfortable with.
